Oh Isa
she was a thick skinned woman
she lived her days attending to her foreman
her hard faced husband
who lived his life tick by tock
with his pocket watch
whose hands never stopped
Oh Isa
It's never been easy
At 9:10 every night she would wash his dirty plates
and by 9:25 she'd be kissing his hardened face
but when he died
she was free
unshackled unburdened
knowing exactly what she'd be doing promptly at three
but when he died
she looked right at his dead body
and the first thing she did was she took off the watch
and she threw it in the gully
you should see how fast it went down
oh it drowned
it went so far down
you should see how fast it went down
went she pitched it in
time flies you know
but heaven knows
it cannot swim
